Vineyard weddings in Nashik

Vineyard weddings are what have made Nashik a destination, and they are the reason most couples from outside Maharashtra come here. Sula, York, Grover Zampa, and the other estates along the Gangapur and Dindori roads host weddings among the vines with the Sahyadri ridge behind them, and it is a setting that has no equivalent anywhere else in India.

What the vines look like in your month

That combination is rare and it is why so many Mumbai and Pune couples choose the vineyards over a city hotel. It also means the guest list arrives in cars across a whole afternoon rather than in one wave, and the coverage schedule has to account for that.

The Brahmagiri hills above Trimbakeshwar and the Anjneri plateau, said to be Hanuman's birthplace, give elevation and open ridge within an hour of the vineyards, which is worth using when a session needs something other than vines.

Nashik's elevation, around six hundred metres, gives it cooler nights than most of Maharashtra, which makes an outdoor evening event comfortable for more of the year than Mumbai or Nagpur allow.

Season for weddings is November to February, with the vineyards in good condition and the weather settled. The estates take bookings well ahead for those months.
